Britax Voyaga Ultra Travel System #2

I said I'd write a "part 2" of my review I did earlier on the Britax Voyaga. We've been using it for 7 weeks now - it's taken this long to actually get around to finding a spare few minutes to blog.

Here's a quick update:

The push chair and all of the extras (carry cot, etc) are all well made and don't look worn after 7 weeks of use. It pushes well and is robust to tackle even the toughest terrain that Kidderminster has to offer. The carry cot is very useful, we've used it everyday since our daughter was born. However, it is a bit narrow - if you have a hefty baby, you may not get the use out of it. The car seat is great, although a bit heavy - again it feels tough and robust. When pushing the pushchair around it maneuvers well and acts as a good crowd-parter when zooming through our local shopping Mall. The bag at the back is really useful.

On the down side: It isn't small when collapsed. You need to have a fairly large boot to accomodate the push chair. Once I went back to work my wife found it hard to lift it in and out of her car, because it's pretty heavy when folded up. It took us a while to figure out that the seat had to folded flat in order for the chair to be folded flat. If you have a Fiat Punto you have to take the rear wheel off to fit it in your boot.

On the whole it's a good push chair and worth the money - but it's pretty big and heavy to lift.

This is probably the last post on this blog - I'm moving to my new blog/site which is here. I'm not going to delete this blogger blog yet, although my old posts are on my new blog.

Move to Wordpress

I'm taking the plunge and moving to Wordpress - It's going to take a while to get things up and running. I'm going to try and export AGE.blogspot to my new blog. I've heard that the blogspot can get nuked in the process, I'm going to try and back it up. If it doesn't work then I'll be off the air for a bit. You can keep track of what the new blog is doing by clicking here.

Appalachian State University is HOT HOT HOT

I want to go back to College now and so will you after watching this. Watch out for the saxaphone and keyboard bit in the middle. Only in America.

Hitting + Head + Brick Wall = not a good day

I don't want to make this blog one of those ranty ones where people blog about their crap lives, etc. However, this is going to be one of those posts....Have you ever thought that everything was going alright, only to find when you looked closely that things weren't? Today was one of those days.

I have this image of me bashing my head against a wall in despair because of the lack of nouse and get up and go of some people. What is the point of trying to do new things and getting on the back of initiatives when the people that say they are with you don't do stuff that they should do? At the moment it seems as if it's just me that sees the importance of what we are trying to do as a school and the rest of the staff are just coasting or warming up after the holidays.

Anyway. I might delete this post when I'm calmer - so read it while it's here.

Jesus Camp

I've only seen a news report on it and the trailer that's in this post, but from what I've seen so far it's pretty scary. As a christian myself I find it hard to reconcile the militancy in the clip with what Jesus talked about. It comes across as something akin to child abuse....but maybe thats what they want you to think.

What do you lot think?
